SKI DAY FANS!

Hello Rail Trail / SKI DAY fans!

We hope to see everyone this weekend for our 9th annual Ferry County Rail Trail SKI DAY – We have a good packed base and approximately three inches of new snow on top of that today so we should be all systems go this Saturday 10am to 2pm at the Kiwanis Trailhead, north end of Curlew lake.

Ski gear (both nordic and HOK skis) is provided FREE for use by Spokane Parks and Recreation and Altai Skis – Please note that this year use of the free gear is limited to the stretch from Kiwanis to Tiffany’s Resort where we will have a person stationed (with water). This will insure shorter lines for gear and more people getting access to gear and instruction for the first time (and we LOVE that!!!).  If you own your own gear feel free to keep going south to Blacks Beach Trailhead and beyond. Note: snowshoes are not provided – but if you use them please stay in the center of the trail on the flat deck and avoid the groomed nordic tracks on the outer part of the trial. Be sure to try the Hoks, made by Altai Skis, if you are inclined to snowshoe.

Our grooming program and FREE Ski Day are made possible by Spokane Parks and Recreation, Altai Skis and our volunteer ski instructors Northwest Bushwhackers. Your donations keep this wonderful event FREE to the public so please consider donating today here https://www.paypal.me/fcrtp

See you at the trailhead!
