Tunnel along the Kettle River  

Republic - in the heart of Ferry CountyFerry County is located in the northeast corner of Washington state. Our county is a diverse mixture of upland pine forests, deep river valleys and rugged mountainous topography. Open space is framed by the Kettle Range mountains to the east and the Okanogan Highlands to the west. The Kettle River runs through the north half of the county. Many mountain lakes including Curlew and Swan dot the landscape.The Ferry County Rail Trail will follow an existing rail line that runs from north at the Canadian border south to the town of Repubic.
